Dr. Kulbhushan Singh Dagar is an experienced Cardiac Surgeon specialising in Neonatal and Paediatric Cardiac Surgery, with more than 32 years of experience in cardiac surgery. He is currently associated with Max Healthcare and practices at Max Super Speciality Hospital, Saket, New Delhi.
Dr. Dagar has dedicated a significant part of his career to the surgical management of infants and children with congenital heart defects. He completed his MBBS from S.N. Medical College & Hospital, Agra University, followed by an MS in General Surgery from the same institution. He subsequently completed his M.Ch in Cardio-Thoracic and Vascular Surgery from GB Pant Hospital, University of Delhi.
Dr. Dagar received formal training at GB Pant Hospital, New Delhi, and subsequently worked as a Specialist Registrar at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, London, UK. During his association with the institution, he received exposure to advanced techniques including Extra Corporeal Life Support and heart transplantation.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Dagar has held senior positions in paediatric cardiac surgery, including serving as Director of the Paediatric Cardiac Programme at Lotus Children's Hospital, Hyderabad, and Director of the Paediatric Cardiac Programme at Escorts Heart Institute and Research Centre, New Delhi. He is currently associated with Max Healthcare.
His clinical interests include the surgical management of complex congenital heart defects in newborns and children, as well as paediatric cardiac valve repair. Max Healthcare also lists Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) among the conditions treated by Dr. Dagar.
Dr. Dagar has contributed extensively to national and international peer-reviewed medical publications and has authored chapters for medical textbooks. He has also received recognition for his work, including a first prize for work on the management of cardiopulmonary bypass in infants with sickle cell disease.
